Vietnam Visa Policy
Department of Public Security has officially issued from September 15, 2003 issued regulation on visa for all foreigners to Vietnam (Related Articles in National Ordinance). Instead of taking time to get visa stamped at Vietnamese Embassy, visitors to Vietnam can get entry visa stamp at one of the three Vietnam International Airports (Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh City or Da Nang).
FAQ
The “letter approving the visa ” is a letter issued by the Department of Immigration Vietnam, which allows entry and exit from Vietnam for a limited period. With the consent of the letter, you can collect your visa after arriving at one of three international airports in Vietnam (Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang).
At the airport, the appropriate authority will check the details of the letter of approval on the basis of passport and travel documents. As long as you make sure that you provide correct data when submitting the application, you will definitely receive an entry when you arrive in Vietnam with an approval letter. However, we recommend that you read our pages carefully and follow all instructions carefully to avoid problems or delays at the airport.

The admissible applications are decided within 15 calendar days after being received by the embassy. This period may be extended to a maximum of 30 calendar days in individual cases or up to a maximum of 60 calendar days where additional documentation is required in specific cases.
This applies to visa applications that can be considered and taken up by the Embassy of Denmark, Hanoi, as well as cases in which the application must be directed and processed by the Danish Immigration Service (DIS)
Citizens of Vietnam are subject to prior consultation prior to obtaining a visa. The consultation may last up to 8 days, and the visa may under no circumstances be issued prior to the completion of consultations
